Lower School

Nursery
 
At British & French Academy (BRIF), children start in Pre-Kindergarten. The younger the child, the faster the assimilation of vocabulary and grammar. According to Claude Hagège, linguist and professor at the Collège de France, the ability to learn languages reaches its peak between 3 and 4 years old. It is at this age that mimicry skills, on which most of language learning depends, are at their peak.

Primary

Just as with Kindergarten, the number of children is planned for a maximum of 15 children per class. This arrangement allows for personalized monitoring of each student. Each school teacher is English speaking, keeps their class, and exercises the British program. A second French-speaking teacher works with subjects that comply with the French program.
 
The students are supported in the pure British program, at 80%. They work happily around English, Maths, Sciences, relayed by French and mathematics from the pure French program.
 

Here too, the sports activities come to cheer up the pupils, giving them a taste for sport and vocations very early on.

In CM2, strengthening of the French program for candidates for the Beninese CEP exam. Here, it is appropriate to recall that, since its inception in 2011, the school has not experienced a single candidate failure for both the CEP and BEPC exams!

Middle School

Secondary I

The secondary school is characterized by the first cycle or college, and the second cycle or high school. Between the two cycles, the English BECE examinations (the English equivalent of the French BEPC) take place.

Upper School

Secondary II

The end of the last cycle is the BACCALAUREAT  (Baccalaureate) exam before entry to UNIVERSITÉ (College).

Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meetings are annual meetings, usually about a month after resumption, which bring together parents/guardians, teachers, and the school’s administration.
During these 2 hour-long meetings, the school administration presents the school, and it’s objectives to parents, after which questions from parents are answered.

Yes, the school has buses for the transport of students.

In addition, the school partners with a transport facility with which parents/guardians can discuss information relative to transportation of their children.
